BOWD
Team Henry Enterprises, LLC was recently notified that it was one of 22 DBE firms in Virginia to be selected to participate in the Business Opportunity Workforce Development Program (BOWD).
The BOWD program is a two year VDOT pilot program, sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration designated to provide concentrated resources to emerging DBE firms in the state of Virginia.
The 22 selected DBE firms were identified as emerging firms within their scope of work that would be a great asset to the highway construction community with targeted assistance and training.
There will be specific projects with contract language specifically design to allow the selected DBE to work with larger prime contractors. The agreement will allow the DBE to expand its’ scope of work by working with and being trained by the prime contractor.
The program has a facility located at 1602 Rolling Hills Dr Suite 100 Richmond, VA 23229. The center will be under the direction of program director Jessica Spencer.
